I am weary of the long and frequent battles of this eternal war. I have been brought to death's door so many times that I've counted the rocks in it’s stone-paved walkway. I know every rough spot, splinter, and warped board in that door by heart. The image of the bell's rope is emblazed on my mind. Its ominous hollow tune has chiseled its way into my subconscious through constant ringing. There is no handle on its outside, and I have tried to force it open more times than I can count. But something more subtle had happened that fateful night. As I lay there in the cabin, the gnawing pain in my leg told me my only injury that had not healed completely was the Lycan bite. The beast never meant to turn me, so the process took 5 months to run its course. The moon started to affect my mind; my thought processes would completely shift its paradigm.
